Betsy has over 33 years of architectural experience, is a licensed architect in both New Mexico and Colorado, is certified by the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards, and is a certified Vaastu Architect. She has extensive knowledge of sustainable materials, including straw-bale, Rastra and adobe, and expertise in the design of solar buildings. She also has an understanding of appropriate building materials to be used to ensure healthy indoor environments.
Ms. Pierce is knowledgeable about historical properties and received the
Heritage Preservation Award from the City of Santa Fe. She has worked on
diverse projects including Casa de Sierra Nevada Hotel and Spa, San Miguel
de Allende, Mexico; Charleston Place Hotel and Spa; Rancho Encantado Resort & Spa, New Mexico; See Forever Lodge, Colorado; La Cabana Restaurant, Buenos Aires; Tesuque Pueblo Church, New Mexico; St. Regis Hotel, Aspen; Maroma Resort & Spa, Cancun Mexico; Bora Bora Lagoon Resort, Tahiti; Rambagh Palace and Spa, Jaipur, India; Lake Palace Spa, Udaipur, India; Fort Aguada Beach Resort masterplan and Spa, and numerous residences throughout Colorado and New Mexico.
Her passion lies with the design of buildings using vaastu principles. One of Einstein's great insights was to realize that matter and energy are really different forms of the same thing. As illustrated in his equation E=mc2, matter can be turned into energy, and energy into matter. This is the
basis of the science of vastu/ vaastu.
Vaastu science is the application of the principles of manifestation to the
physical world. Striking a tuning fork and holding a still tuning fork of the same chord next to it makes the still fork resonate and vibrate in harmony with the original tuning fork. In the same manner, vibrations from a building can be transferred to its inhabitants. We pick up on the vibrations surrounding us, both the positive and negative.
