Hawaii-born but a true desert rat, Lauren Sato is a natural for the real estate business. She's dependable, caring, a people person, problem solver, hard worker and compassionate. After earning an engineering degree from Arizona State University, Lauren accepted a position in facilities design for a major aerospace subcontractor. She earned her MBA from ASU at night and her career transitioned to a multitude of areas including government contracts, product development, program and supply chain management. Moving up the corporate ladder also involved physically moving as well and when Lauren found herself in the deep south, she realized that she needed to move back to her beloved southwest deserts and her family. Needing a career that more directly helped others, she started learning the intricacies of real estate. In Arizona, Lauren worked in business brokerage and new home sales for Pulte Homes for several years, but when her fiancé accepted a new job in Santa Fe, she jumped at the opportunity to live and work in the city different. Betsy has over 33 years of architectural experience, is a licensed architect in both New Mexico and Colorado, is certified by the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards, and is a certified Vaastu Architect. She has extensive knowledge of sustainable materials, including straw-bale, Rastra and adobe, and expertise in the design of solar buildings. She also has an understanding of appropriate building materials to be used to ensure healthy indoor environments.
Ms. Pierce is knowledgeable about historical properties and received the
Heritage Preservation Award from the City of Santa Fe. She has worked on
diverse projects including Casa de Sierra Nevada Hotel and Spa, San Miguel
